Introduction:
Our latest PM fiber fusion splicer supports cladding diameters from 80 μm to 150 μm and comes with a universal fiber holder. It can also serve as a high-performance standard single-fiber splicer, offering great flexibility for various applications.
The system adopts a fiber end-face imaging and manual rotational alignment method for precise axis matching before fusion. It features a high-resolution, high-magnification (400×) optical imaging system, paired with a native CCD-based X-Y coordinate display and a 12-inch HD monitor, enabling crystal-clear end-face imaging. This setup makes it easy to achieve a polarization extinction ratio (PER) exceeding 25 dB.
In addition to PM fibers, the splicer supports other specialty fibers requiring angular alignment, such as active/passive double-cladding fibers and multicore fibers—as long as the cladding diameter falls within the supported range of the machine.
